| This is a one (1) day contest to be held Saturday, 8/30/08. Horsemen's Park will hold a series of Free Handicapping Contests on 8/2/08, 8/9/08, 8/17/08, 8/23/08 where the top 10 and ties from each contest will receive a free entry into the NTRA/DRF National Handicapping Contest qualifier to be held on Saturday, 8/30/08. There will be a $100 buy-in for the NTRA/DRF Qualifying Contest contest for those that have not previously qualified through one of the prior contests. The total number of entries for this NTRA/DRF Qualifying Contest will be capped at 100 contestants. The field will be filled on a first come first paid priority. It will be one entry per person however, if the total number of contestants does not reach 100 the contestants will then be allowed to purchase a second entry. (If the requests for second entries exceeds the number available then a random draw will be held to determine the contestants allowed to purchase the second entry) The contest will have 8 mandatory races and 7 optional races. The contestants will bet a mythical $2 to win & place on each of their selections. Earnings/points will be based on the mutuel payoffs and will be capped at 20/1 ($42) to win and 10/1 ($22) to place. The contestant who has accumulated the highest earnings/points will receive a free entry to the 2009 NTRA/DRF National Handicapping Championship. This contest qualifies 1 persons to the 2009 NTRA/DRF National Handicapping Contest. Prize money will also be awarded based on the number of entries. (Entry Blank) |
