Park is once again participating as a qualifying site for the 2009
NTRA/DRF
National Handicapping Contest, which will be held January
23-24, 2009 at Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas. The winning individual
will be crowned "Handicapper of the Year" at the 2009
Eclipse Awards and receive $500,000. There will be an
estimated $1,000,000 in total prize money distributed. |

Park will be holding two separate 2009 NTRA/DRF
National Handicapping Contest qualifiers.
Contest #1
will be a
two (2) day contest to be held on Saturday May 31, 2008 &
Sunday, June 1, 2008. The top two (2) finishers of the two (2) day
contest will qualify for the 2009 NTRA/DRF Nat'l Handicapping

Contest #2 will be a one
(1) day contest to be held on Saturday, August 30, 2008.
The top finisher of this contest will qualify for the 2009 NTRA/DRF

The Horsemen's Park qualifiers for the 2009 NTRA/DRF
National Handicapping Contest will receive a free individual entry in
the National Finals, a round-trip airfare from Omaha to Las Vegas
and one free room for the contest nights.

General Horsemen's
Park Contest Rules:
1. You must be 21 years of age by January 22, 2009
to enter any 2009 NTRA/DRF
National
Handicapping Contest qualifying events.
2. If a Horsemen's Park contest winner cannot attend
the national
Finals, the next place finisher in the same
qualifying contest
will go as the alternate.
3. Any employee of Horsemen's Park, the NTRA, Red
Rock Casino,
Daily Racing Form or affiliated
companys are ineligible.
4. Management will determine the qualifying contest
dates, format,
tracks and rules. All decisions are
final. |
