 Horsemen's Park Qualifying Prizes
for each contest:

1st place Entry to the Coast Casinos Horseplayer World Series - including airfare and room at the Orleans
2nd place $400
3rd place $200
4th place $100
5th place $50

Horsemen's Park Qualifying Contest Rules: 

  1. Horsemen’s Park qualifying contests will be held Saturday, September 29, 2007 and November 17, 2007.
  2. Entry fee is $20.  Limit two (2) entries per person; however only your best entry will qualify for prizes.
  3. You must be 21 years of age to enter and you must be present to enter.  Employees of Horsemen’s Park are ineligible to enter the Horsemen’s Park qualifying contest.
  4. Management will determine the qualifying contest date, format, tracks and rules.  All decisions are final.
  5. The deadline for entries is post time for the first race of the contest.

 

 Coast Casinos Horseplayer World Series Participation Rules:

  1. Players must be 21 years of age to participate in local Qualifying Event(s).
  2. Players must place all wagers personally.  No person shall directly or indirectly act as an intermediary, transmitter or agent in placing wagers for the Player, unless authorized by the local venue and for good reasons shown.
  3. Eligibility (e.g. employment of affiliation, family relationship, past winnings) may vary between the qualifying tournaments, however, eligibility of finalists for the Horseplayer World Series will be established by Coast Casinos.
  4. Site will send qualifiers to the Horseplayer World Series.  The qualifiers must be in attendance each day of the event.  Depending on a particular situation, the local venue, in cooperation with Coast may assign an alternate qualifier.  Players agree to abide by these determinations.
  5. Coast Hotels and Casinos, Inc. management reserves the right to change the Participation Rules at any time.

 

* The one million dollars in prizes for the HWS is based on one thousand contestants who qualify to participate in the HWS.  The Prize Pool will be adjusted higher or lower in proportion to the actual amount of qualifiers.

 

Horsemen's Park Qualifying Contest Format:

In the qualifying contests you will make a selection for each of 15 designated (mandatory) races from five (5) or more different tracks.  If your selection runs first you will receive 5 points and if your selection runs second you will receive 3 points. In addition you will receive bonus points if your selection wins and pays:

(1)   $10.00 to $19.90            2 Bonus Points

(2)   $20.00 to $29.90           4 Bonus Points

(3)   $30.00 and over           6 Bonus Points

In the event of a points total tie the tiebreaker will be the total mutuel winnings of your winning selections.  The second tiebreaker will be the total mutuel winnings for your selections running both first and second. In the event that a race(s) is cancelled the 15 total races will be reduced accordingly—no substitute races will be used.

If a turf race goes “OFF THE TURF” the race will still be used.  

If part of an entry is scratched and the remaining part of the entry is running for “purse money only” selections using the entry will receive the post-time favorite.

 

 

The racetracks and races will be determined no later than Friday, September 28th at 1:00pm and Friday, November 16th at 1:00pm.
